Shielded in Fierce Love
Carol Robison -- August 26, 2018
Scriptures for today:
When Carol Robison first began attending FCCO in the fall of 2008, she didn't know that she was searching for a new church home. She never felt at home in any church before. She was instantly drawn to the free and open worship in this place. What she has found through staying here amidst the ups and downs of church life is a community that is willing to stay in relationship, wrestling with each other across differences, and at the same time seeking God's will for us and the power to carry that out.
Carol is a deacon and serves on the Worship & the Arts Team. She receives particular joy in the creation of the altar for worship most weeks.
She holds an MFA in creative writing and enjoys writing of all kinds, but never considered herself a sermon writer until 2016, when she was asked to preach. She feels honored and humbled to do so.
