Rev. Jeanelle Nicolas Ablola relocated to the Bay Area to receive their M.Div. (2010) at Pacific School of Religion, Berkeley and is currently serving as Lead Pastor at Pine United Methodist Church, San Francisco. They also serve as Co-Chair of the United Methodist Church Cal-Nev Philippine Solidarity Task Force (PSTF), a member of the steering committee of the National Ecumenical-Interfaith Forum for Filipino Concerns - Northern California (NEFFCON), and a member of the Cal-Nev Annual Conference Advocacy & Justice Committee.

In 2014, the Methodist Federation for Social Action California-Nevada Chapter (MFSA) presented Rev. Jeanelle with the Bishop Leontine T.C. Kelly Peace and Justice Award. They lead regular Pastoral & Solidarity Visits to the Philippines and have presented on panels, published articles, and spoken at public events. It is through activism that they experience deeper connection with Jesus Christ and the people they are called to serve.
