Rev. Emilio Hernandez began preaching at the age of 10, became a lay leader at 14 and was ordained by The Assemblies of God in 1994. He founded and pastored Knowing God Ministries, a radically inclusive congregation. Rev. Hernandez served as a lead community organizer for CCNE (Connecticut Center for a New Economy) during his last ten years as a minister in New Haven, Connecticut where he collaborated with rank and file leaders, local and statewide interfaith organizations, labor unions, and elected officials to secure a community benefits agreement, statewide universal healthcare (Sustinet) and advance a New Social Contract.

By divine guidance, Rev. Hernandez moved to California in 2009 to fulfill his dream of pursuing his studies. After spending his first seven months in San Diego, Rev. Emilio came to the Bay in 2010 to begin his undergraduate studies. In 2013, as a member of Pacific School of Religion's inaugural Change-Maker Fellowship, Rev. Hernandez began his journey toward a Master's Degree in Divinity at The Graduate Theological Union.

Rev. Hernandez now resides in Oakland, California with his wife Christine Hernandez and their four children; Madeleine, Marcus, Vaughn and newest addition, Sophia-Lina Lucy. Entrusted with God's work, Rev. Hernandez is leading a spiritual and numerical growth/outreach ministry at New Revelation Community Church, led by The Reverend Dr. Donna Allen.
