Grant Kinney grew up in the United Methodist Church in small town northern Michigan. First feeling a call to ministry at summer camp when he was 15-years-old, he has been on the path to ordained ministry ever since. In 2000, Grant began attending the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California, working toward a Master of Divinity degree. Shortly after he was loved into the United Church of Christ via the First Congregational Church of Oakland. In the fall of 2007, he will begin a Clinical Pastoral Education residency at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco. He plans to graduate from seminary in May 2009.
