CYF Ministry
Mission Statement

To intentionally teach, model, and practice the greatest commandments.

• We are all beloved children of God- knowing this helps us know our own worth.
• Celebrate our unique, special and wonderful selves.
• Have compassion for ourselves and let go the need to be perfect.
• Practice stillness. Listen to the voice inside our own hearts.

Love Our Neighbors

• Express feelings through art and words. Work to resolve conflicts.
• Have compassion and empathy for one another.
• Include everyone. Celebrate our differences.
• Be peace makers.

Love God

• Understand that nothing can stop God from loving us.
• Be a child of God. This means saying ‘yes’ to the things that help us remember God’s love for us and saying ‘no’ to the things that keep us from feeling God’s love.
• Practice gratitude. See God in everyday life. Practice hope.
• Express love by singing, dancing, acting, art-making.
• Read stories in the Bible and other spiritual books that teach us more about God's love.
• Be critical thinkers. Ask questions about God. Allow space for many answers.
